SCHOOL DAZE

30th Anniversary

Sony Pictures Studios

Culver City, California

The message of higher learning especially pertaining to Historically Black Colleges and Universities is just as relevant today as it was thirty years ago.

With films like SCHOOL DAZE and television shows like A DIFFERENT WORLD, HBCUs were brought to the forefront.

The Q&A afterwards was everything, especially when a question was posed to the panel about how to make HBCUs more entreating to our Black students when considering their college options.

Mr. Spike Lee, a true Morehouse man through and through, was profound and direct when voicing his appreciation and support of HBCUs. The panel also included two members of the cast, Tisha Campbell-Martin and Kadeem Hardison and casting director Robi Reed.

It was a fitting celebration to be had during Black History Month.
